Senior Data Scientist

(Milan office)

Responsibilities

  • Autonomously define a data ingestion pipeline (exploration, quality assessment, cleansing and structuring for downstream processing)
  • Autonomously design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms
  • Work with engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production
  • Autonomously support domain experts in the generation of actionable insights for business improvements

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in quantitative analytics and data modeling
  • Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or other Machine Learning-related topics from top level University
  • Deep understanding of statistical modeling and machine-learning algorithms
  • Experience with git and teamwork in data science
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Working knowledge of Bash
  • Working knowledge of Hadoop framework (Spark, Hive, etc.)
  • Fluency in Python (libraries: numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, …) and R (packages: tidyverse, caret, mlr, xts, zoo, …)
  • Experience implementing Deep Learning algorithms with Tensorflow and Keras
  • Basic knowledge of Scala
  • Basic knowledge of Italian
  • Fluency in English

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in consulting
  • Fluency in Italian

Data Scientist

(Milan office)

Responsibilities

  • Autonomously define a data ingestion pipeline (exploration, quality assessment, cleansing and structuring for downstream processing)
  • Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms with minimal supervision from senior data scientists
  • Work with engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production
  • Work with senior data scientists to support domain experts in the generation of actionable insights for business improvements

Requirements

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in quantitative analytics and data modeling
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of statistical modeling and machine-learning algorithms
  • Experience with git and teamwork in data science
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with Hadoop framework (Spark, Hive, etc.)
  • Fluency in Python (libraries: numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, …) and/or R (packages: tidyverse, caret, mlr, xts, zoo, …)
  • Basic knowledge of Italian
  • Fluency in English

Nice to have
